  1. International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or belief, observed on 22 August.

  3. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has launched the ‘Vidya Rath-School on Wheels’ project.
  4. Museums in the Scottish city of Glasgow on 19 August, 2022 signed an agreement with the Indian govt to repatriate seven stolen artefacts to India.
  5. National Skill Development Corporation in partnership with Seva Bharti and Yuva Vikas Society on 20 August, 2022 launched the 2nd phase of the ‘Grameen Udyami Project’ in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

  10. 17 year old wrestler, Antim Panghal on 19 August, 2022 became the first Indian woman wrestler to win the Gold medal at the U-20 World Wrestling Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria.
  11.  Indian para shuttlers Pramod Bhagat and Sukant Kadam won the Gold medal at the Thailand Para-Badminton International tournament held in Pattaya.
  12.  Chhattisgarh govt has announced to set up 300 rural industrial parks in the state to boost and strengthen the village economy.
